Ceriporia amazonica

Ceriporia amazonica is a saprotrophic fungi species that causes white rot in dead trunks and branches. The species has twelve records, all of them made in just two Ombriphilous Forest areas inside Eastern Brazilian Amazonia, which makes the species to be considered rare. Camazonica and its habitat are threatened by mining, fire, deforestation, and urban development. Based in the threats to the species and its estimated population parameters, Camazonica is considered Near Threatened based on the A3c IUCN criteria.
