Binderoboletus segoi is a fungi species that is found growing on Dicymbe-dominated forest soils in Guyana. The species has registered in May, June, July, and December. So far, there are just eight records in two sites, but the species is expected to occur in similar neighbor areas inside Venezuela, northern Brazil, and Colombia, as this region is remote and under-sampled. There is no sufficient data about Bsegoi populations and trends to apply IUCN assessment criteria, and therefore the species is assessed as Data Deficient. However, it is expected that the species is threatened by climate change, mining, and urban development. More studies about the species taxonomy, population parameters and ecology are necessary.
