Coltricia permollis
Coltricia permollis is a saprotrophic fungi species that grows in sandy soils inside Atlantic Forest areas. So far, the species was recorded in three areas, all located in Northeast Brazil, two within Paraíba state, and one within Sergipe state. It is expected that the species is rare, as its potential distribution area is well sampled by experts, occurring in sandy soils throughout coastal Atlantic Forest areas. C. permolis is threatened mainly by habitat loss, which is caused by urban development and exotic species introduction. Based on IUCN criteria, threats to the species, and its known and estimated population parameters, C. permolis is considered Vulnerable based on criterion C2a(ii).
