Skeletocutis roseola
Skeletocutis roseola is a lignicolous polypore species that causes white rot in dead angiosperm trees. The species has only 30 records in 9 localities, with all of them being restricted to southern and southeastern Brazil, in Atlantic Forest areas. This biome is considered a conservation hotspot, being threatened by human occupation and climate change. Based on the number of total mature individuals and the threats to the species, it is estimated that there will be a decline in its population, characterizing S. roseola as Vulnerable based on the IUCN criteria.
