Jimtrappea guyanensis
Jimtrappea guyanensis is a fungi species known only for Dicymbe-dominated forests that grow in a semi-emergent or hypogeous way, under ldina insignis, Dicymbe altsonii, D. corymbosa, D. jenmanii, or Pakaraimaea dipterocarpacea. So far, the species has registers for just three sites inside Guyana, but it is expected that it occurs in neighboring areas with similar habitats, such as Venezuela, northern Brazil, and Colombia. Due to the lack of data and, therefore, the impossibility to reliably estimate or infer the species population parameters and trends, as well as its potential distribution, J. guyanensis is considered Data Deficient based on IUCN criteria. It is believed that the species can be threatened by climate change and mining. More research is necessary in order to understand its population parameters and trends.
